Italian Serie A1 newcomer Millennium Brescia is showing serious interest in young Bulgarian volleyball player Veneva, according to foreign sources. The news appeared on the "Cerca de la Red" profile, which reported that the 17-year-old Bulgarian is a "priority" for the club after its promotion to Italy's elite league.
According to the publication, Brescia's management is planning an ambitious selection process for their debut season among the best in Serie A1, and attracting young and promising players is among the club's main goals. That is why Veneva's name has seriously entered the Italians' plans.
"Cerca de la Red" adds that they have been following the development of the Bulgarian player for over a year and consider a potential transfer to be one of the most interesting possible deals this summer.
However, at the moment there is no official confirmation from either Millennium Brescia or the volleyball player's camp. For now, the information remains at the level of serious interest and market rumor, although the very fact that such a topic is being discussed in Italy shows that the Bulgarian player is already attracting attention outside the country.
If the transfer goes through, it would be an important step in the young player's development, as Serie A1 is considered one of the strongest women's championships in the world. Furthermore, such a move would give Veneva the opportunity to develop in a highly competitive environment even at an early age.
Interestingly, Brescia is clearly looking for a long-term project, not just short-term survival in the elite league. That is why the club is focusing its attention on young talents with development potential, which they evidently see in the Bulgarian volleyball player.
Veneva herself states that she will leave the domestic championship for Italy, which further makes this rumor closer to reality.
