Ukrainian outside hitter Oleh Plotnytskyi extends his contract with Sir Safety Perugia for two more seasons. This was confirmed by the club's general director, Massimo Colaci. Plotnytskyi has been playing in the Italian championship since 2017, and has been part of Perugia since the 2019/2020 season. In recent years, he has established himself as one of the key players in the squad.
Perugia had an exceptionally strong 2025/2026 season, in which they won the Champions League, the Italian title, the Italian Supercup, the CEV Cup, and the Club World Championship. The team also finished third in the Italian Cup tournament.
Plotnytskyi's career began in Ukraine, after which he moved to Vero Volley Monza, and later to Perugia. With the new contract, his stay with the Italian giant will continue at least until 2028. This will give the player peace of mind, allowing him to concentrate on his participation in the national team in the VNL and Euro 2026 in Sofia, where Ukraine is in the same group as Bulgaria.
