The Serbian Volleyball Federation OSSRB presented the new coach of the women's national team. This is Zoran Terzić - a titled volleyball player and coach. The agreement will be for the next four years, until the Olympic Games in Los Angeles. For the Serb, joining the staff is not something new, but rather a return after a break. The 58-year-old specialist led the Serbian women in the period 2002-2021.

FAILED SEASON
The last representative season was completely unsuccessful for the Serbian team. In the Balkans, it was decided to completely give up the Volleyball Nations League, giving more time for rest. The Serbian team was aiming for gold in Paris, with the Olympic Games being the main goal for 2024.
- I think that in the Nations League I wanted to give more matches to players who had not had high-level matches during the season. I also wanted to give a little more rest time to the volleyball players who had an extremely intense season. They are not young, so maybe they should not play so many matches. We are not a young team. I believe that work and recovery are sometimes even better than playing many battles before a very important tournament, such as the Olympic Games - Giovanni Guidetti, coach of the Serbian national team in 2023-2024, shared for Volleyball Zone shortly before Paris.
In 2022, the Serbian women were led by Daniele Santarelli. It was the coach of Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano who led the Balkan team to the world title and the bronze medal from the Volleyball Nations League.
For his part, Guidetti reached silver from the European Championship a year later, but according to rumors, the collaboration with the specialist was not well settled.
FOR THE SECOND TIME
The Serbian volleyball authorities decided to resort to the well-functioning mechanism from previous years. Zoran Terzić, who led the women's team in the period 2002-2021, once again became the coach. It is rare for a coach to lead a team continuously for such a long time. During this period, the Serbian women won silver and bronze from Olympic Games, a title and a bronze medal from the World Championship, as well as three gold, two silver and one bronze medal from European Championships. In the period 2018-2023, he led Fenerbahçe Medicana Istanbul. In 2022, he became the coach of Russia.
His contract is signed until 2028, which means that the main goal will be primarily focused on building the team for the Olympic Games in Los Angeles. In 2025, the Serbian women will also fight for the world title. In the group they will meet Japan, Ukraine and Cameroon.
