Two-time Olympic medalist strengthens Martin Atanasov's Galatasaray

The upcoming season in the Turkish championship promises to be extremely interesting due to the number of star players attracted. Turkish media reported that an American, a two-time Olympic medalist, will join Galatasaray HDI Sigorta. He is currently playing in the Japanese championship. For the American, this will be a return to Turkish courts after many years.

Thomas Jaeschke, as he is the one in question, is an experienced outside hitter. The US representative has played in his career in the Polish PlusLiga for Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, winning the Polish vice-championship title. He has also played in the Italian championship for the teams of Verona and Milano. He also had a stint in the Chinese championship. Jaeschke already knows the taste of the Turkish league, as in the 2022/2023 season he defended the colors of Halkbank Ankara, winning the Turkish Cup and the vice-championship title in the country.

Jaeschke spent the last years in the Japanese league, with Osaka Bluteon, where he already has the Emperor's Cup and a medal from the national championship. Now a new challenge awaits him in Turkey.

Thomas Jaeschke has numerous successes with the US national team, including two Olympic medals and medals from the Nations League. With the representative team, he has also won the NORCECA Championship.

Let's recall that this is not the first star heading in the Turkish direction. Tomasz Fornal is negotiating with Ziraat Ankara. Let's also recall that Ervin Ngapeth and Ivan Zaytsev chose the Turkish championship.
