Poland starts with seven absolute debutants against Serbia

Sosnowiec.Poland started with as many as seven debutants against Serbia, Lemanski returned after years of absence

Poland began its participation in the tournament in Sosnowiec with an extremely experimental and rejuvenated squad for the match against Serbia. It turned out that not three, but as many as seven volleyball players made their official debut for the men's national team of "Druzyna Polska".

Their first match with the Polish men's national jersey was played by:

  • Bartosz Fijałek

  • Jakub Majchrzak

  • Maksym Kędzierski

  • Jakub Kiedos

  • Bartosz Zych

  • Michał Grabek

  • Jakub Przypolkowicz

The Polish staff used the tournament as an opportunity to test a wider range of players and give young volleyball players a chance on the international stage.

Alongside the debutants, the return of middle blocker Bartłomiej Lemański also draws attention. He is playing for the national team again after a long absence, his last appearance with the Polish team being in 2019.

Poland started the tournament with the following squad:

No.Player
01Aliaksei Nasiewicz
05Mikołaj Sawicki
07Bartłomiej Lemański
08Bartosz Fijałek (libero)
17Jakub Majchrzak

33Maksym Kędzierzki (libero)

Most likely, however, this lineup will not remain unchanged for the match against Bulgaria. Rotations and the inclusion of more players are expected, as the Polish staff continues to test various game combinations before the next official matches.
