Former national player transfers to the champion of Greece

Former national player Nikolay Kolev will continue his career with Greek champion Panathinaikos, VolleyWeek.bg has learned.VolleyWeek.bgThe central blocker signed a one-year contract today and from next season will be part of the "Greens," who defended their title in our southern neighbor.
Along with Kolev, French outside hitter Timothee Carle, who comes from Japan's Nagoya, also arrives at Panathinaikos, with which the club is making a serious selection for the new season and its participation in European club tournaments.
Interestingly, last season Nikolay Kolev played against Panathinaikos in the final series of the Greek championship with PAOK. The team from Thessaloniki lost the battle for the title after a defeat in the fourth match of the final playoff.
The 28-year-old central blocker has solid international experience. In his career, he has played for Cherno More, Neftochimik 2010, and Montana, and between 2022 and 2024, he defended the colors of French Narbonne. Last season, he was part of PAOK.
The former Bulgarian national player is considered one of the most consistent Bulgarian middle blockers in recent years, and his transfer to Panathinaikos is another step up in his career.
