A historic step against the carbon footprint
The club made a pioneering move, calculating for the first time the carbon footprint of a volleyball match – againstBodrum. The emitted3.25 tons of carbon emissionswere neutralized through cooperation with the organizationPerfect Green. This initiative aims to show how sport can be environmentally sustainable and inspire other clubs.
Electronic tickets instead of paper ones
Since the beginning of the season, Papara Göztepe has stopped using paper tickets, replacing them with an electronic system. This decision reduces paper usage and is in line with the club's environmental policy.
Transport for students
To reduce carbon emissions, the club organizes collective transport for students in Izmir who attend matches. This significantly reduces traffic and the emission of harmful gases, avoiding hundreds of cars entering the city.
Memorial forest for volleyball Göztepe
With every point won in matches, the club plants a tree. The goal is to plant at least3500 seedlingsto create a Commemorative Forest of the club.
