Volleyball club Metallurg officially confirmed that it will be part of the elite of Bulgarian men's volleyball in the 2026/2027 season. This became clear from an official statement by the club, after the management submitted the necessary application for participation in efbet Super Volley at the invitation of the National Volleyball League
Men.
Thus, the team will take another important step in its development, after leaving an excellent impression with its performance as a newcomer in the Higher League last season.
The club emphasized that after a strong campaign, full of emotions, tough battles, and serious fan support, ambitions are now focused on a stable presence among the best teams in the country.
It was also officially announced that in the new season, Metallurg's home matches will be played in the 'Boris Gyuderov' hall.
The management assured its supporters that work is currently exceptionally active on the selection and formation of the squad for the debut season in efbet Super Volley. According to the club, serious efforts are being made by the entire staff, and the first official news regarding the team and selection for the new championship is expected to be announced very soon.
With its entry into the elite, Metallurg becomes one of the most interesting projects in Bulgarian volleyball, and expectations for the team for the 2026/2027 season are already beginning to grow. We remind that Francesco Mollo was appointed as the head coach of the team.
