Branimir Grozdanov became champion of Romania with Dinamo (Bucharest) after his team dramatically won the final series against Arcada Galați. In the decisive fifth match, Dinamo prevailed 3:2 (25:19, 25:20, 19:25, 17:25, 15:13) in front of a packed hall in Bucharest and defended its title.
The final turned into a true celebration of volleyball in Romania, with nearly 2000 spectators creating an impressive atmosphere. Dinamo took a 2:0 lead in sets, but Arcada managed to equalize after strong play in the third and fourth sets. In the tie-break, the hosts showed more resilience and achieved success after an extremely dramatic finish.
Thus, Dinamo won its 20th title in history and second in a row, and Branimir Grozdanov added a championship trophy to his career.
