Former Bulgarian national team setter Dobromir Dimitrov triumphed with the championship title in the Spanish Superliga for the 2025/2026 season.
His team, CV Guaguas, closed out the final series against CV Melilla after a decisive 3:0(25:15,25:21,25:19) victory in front of 3000 ecstatic fans in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This success brought the “Yellows” their fourth consecutive title and fifth overall in the club's history.

Guaguas had also won the first match of the final as guests with a 3:0(25:22,25:10,25:18) score.
For Dimitrov, this is another prestigious success abroad, as the Bulgarian setter added a gold medal from one of Europe's leading championships to his rich career.
With the title, CV Guaguas also secured participation in the next edition of the CEV Champions League. This season, Guaguas reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League, which is only the second such instance in the club's history. The Bulgarian public saw Dobromir Dimitrov and star Osmany Juantorena live in Sofia, where Guaguas eliminated Levski in the third qualifying round of the Champions League and secured a spot in the group stage.
