The open secret surrounding Simeon Nikolov's future has now been officially confirmed. This time, the news came personally from Alex and Moni's father, Vlado Nikolov, who spoke to the Plovdiv newspaper 'Maritsa'.
The location where the former national team captain made the statement is also not accidental. Vlado Nikolov was elected a member of parliament precisely from the city under the hills, and the interview with one of the leading local publications further drew attention to the topic.
We remind you that as early as the beginning of January, we announced that the national setter would continue his career with the Italian giant Cucine Lube Civitanova, where he will play alongside his brother Alex Nikolov.
Currently, the 208-centimeter Moni is finishing the season with Russian Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, led by Plamen Konstantinov. The Bulgarian international is participating with the team in matches for the Russian Cup tournament.
Cucine Lube Civitanova had a strong season in the Italian Superlega, reaching the title final, but there they lost to Perugia. Alex Nikolov was among the key figures in Lube's squad during the campaign.
