Paola Egonu led Milan to the bronze medals at the Women's Club World Championship in China. The Vero Volley star scored an impressive 22 points in the 3:0 (25:23, 25:16, 25:13) victory over Brazil's Dentil Praia Clube in the battle for third place at the Club World Cup. For Praia, Kasi scored the most points with 9, followed by Adenizia with 8.
Praia played an excellent first set with very good defense and effective attack. Egonu also contributed to this, playing timidly and with many errors. Nevertheless, the experience of the Italians spoke for itself and they closed the set with 25:23. Things changed radically in the second part, when Milan took control of the match with aggressive serving and controlled their attacking errors to win the next two sets with ease.Radi Marinova did not enter the game again.
