Three-time champion with Levski Sofia, Damyan Kolev will continue his career in Germany. The libero is transferring to Barock Volleys (Ludwigsburg), which debuted in the Bundesliga last season and reached the playoffs.

Kolev is leaving Levski after an extremely successful period. Since joining the club in 2018, he has won three championship titles, three Super Cups, and the Bulgarian Cup, and was also part of the historic treble in the 2024/25 season. The libero is also a Bulgarian international, having won silver at the World Championship in 2025.
"What I will miss most about Levski are the people and the atmosphere in the club. Thank you to the fans for their support," said Damyan Kolev.
Club president David Davidov described Kolev as "an integral part of the club's history and heart," while coach Nikolay Zhelyazkov highlighted his professionalism and dedication.
Levski Sofia thanked Damyan Kolev for his contribution and wished him success in his new challenge in Germany.
