Three-time champion with "Levski Sofia" Damyan Kolev will continue his career in Germany. The libero is moving to "Barock Volleys" (Ludwigsburg), which debuted in the Bundesliga last season and reached the playoffs.
Kolev leaves "Levski" after an extremely successful period. Since his arrival at the club in 2018, he has won three championship titles, three Supercups, and the Bulgarian Cup, and was also part of the historic treble in the 2024/25 season. The libero is also a Bulgarian international, having won silver at the 2025 World Championship.
"What I will miss most about "Levski" are the people and the atmosphere in the club. I thank the fans for their support," said Damyan Kolev.
Club president David Davidov described Kolev as "an integral part of the club's history and heart," while coach Nikolay Zhelyazkov emphasized his professionalism and dedication.
"Levski Sofia" thanked Damyan Kolev for his contribution and wished him success in his new challenge in Germany.
