A curious incident occurred at the end of a Champions League group stage match between Italian club "Perugia" and French club "Saint-Nazaire." The visitors' opposite hitter, Henri Leon, dove towards the referee's stand to save the ball in defense. Unable to reach the ball, the 95 kg volleyball player crashed at full speed into the referee's stand. Leon was not injured, but the stand collapsed to the floor along with the first referee. In that match, it was the Romanian Paul Catalin Sabo-Alexi. The incident happened in the third set with the score at 21:19 in favor of "Perugia." Players and spectators held their heads, and the Italian libero Massimo Colaci immediately rushed to help the referee. But Sabo-Alexi quickly got back on his feet and gestured that everything was fine with him.

The collapse of the referee's stand is an unprecedented event. Previously, we have only encountered situations where players merely shook the referee's chair.
