Prata di Pordenone officially secured a historic promotion to the SuperLega after winning the Serie A2 final series with a decisive 3:0 victories. In the crucial third match, the team prevailed as guests against Pineto with 3:0 (25:17, 25:20, 25:17) and closed the series without a single loss.
The team from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region demonstrated complete dominance, especially from the service line, where they made a significant difference (9 aces against 1). Setter Alberini dictated the tempo, and Gamba was the top scorer with 14 points. Terpin, Ernastovic, and Catellan, who scored the final point for the promotion, also made strong contributions.
Pineto, despite the defeat, finishes the season with their heads held high – the team won the Italian Cup and Supercup and finished as leaders in the regular season, but in the finals, they succumbed to the more stable opponent.
For Prata, this is the culmination of an impressive undefeated playoff run – and a new challenge among the elite of Italian volleyball.
