Nikolay Kolev and PAOK with silver, Panathinaikos again at the top in Greece

Panathinaikos defended its title in the Greek league after winning the final series against PAOK with 3-1 victories. In the fourth match, "the greens" prevailed with 3:1 (25:22, 34:32, 26:24, 25:20) in Thessaloniki and put an end to the dispute for the gold.
Bulgarian middle blocker Nikolay Kolev scored 7 points for PAOK, contributing with 2 successful blocks and having a significant impact in the second set when the hosts managed to equalize.

The match offered serious drama, especially in the second and third sets. PAOK snatched the second set after a marathon rally - 34:32, but in the next one, Panathinaikos showed more class in key moments and closed it with 26:24. In the fourth set, the guests imposed control through strong serves and stable blocking to finish the match.
The top scorer for the champions was the Danish opposite hitter Nielsen with 30 points, followed by Yanchuk with 25. For PAOK, Hernandez was above all with 25 points, and Kovacevic added 17.
The Most Valuable Player (MVP) award was earned by Panathinaikos' setter Luca Spirito, who excellently orchestrated his team's play in the decisive clash.

Thus, Panathinaikos reached its 28th title in its history and completed a double for the season, while PAOK, with the Bulgarian participation of Nikolay Kolev, is left with the silver medals.
