Former national player Miroslav Gradinarov will leave the team of Dobrudzha 07, volleyweek.bg learned. The outside hitter will go to Austria during the mid-season, where he will join the team ofUnion Raiffeisen Waldviertel.The team is a leading volleyball club from Austria, based in the city of Zwettl. The club competes in the AustrianPower Fusion Volley Leagueand regularly participates in international tournaments such as the MEVZA Cup and CEV Cup. For the first time in its history, in 2022, Waldviertel won the Austrian championship, defeatingSK Zadruga Aich/Dobin a four-match series. The team also added the Austrian Cup in the same year, demonstrating national dominance. Several players who are part of the Austrian national team also compete for the team: Timon Weseli, Samuel Müller, and Paul Nusterer. The squad also includes two Poles - Mateusz Śnieżek and Krzysztof Gulak. The team is currently in 6th place in the standings.

Gradinarov will play both as an outside hitter and opposite, and the contract is until the end of the season. Other Bulgarians also compete in Austria - Danail Dimov, who is with Hypo Tirol Innsbruck, as well as Veselin Berndoerfer and Aleksandar Shopov, who were recruited by TSV Hartberg Volleyball (Hartberg), vice-champions of Austria in men's volleyball for the 2023-2024 season.
