The president of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation, Stanislav Shevchenko, confirmed the upcoming change of the head coach of the Russian women's national team, gazeta.ru reported. The head of the federation was asked if there could be changes in the head coaches of the Russian national teams. "In women's volleyball," Shevchenko replied. We remind you that since 2022, the women's national team has been led by the 58-year-old Serbian specialist Zoran Terzic. At the club level, he has been working with Dynamo-Ak Bars Kazan since 2023.
"Missing a few tournaments is not a problem for me, but training without the opportunity to evaluate your work is difficult. I am very, very sorry that a very, very good generation of Russian volleyball players cannot perform now. As long as I have the opportunity to work with Serbia or Russia, I will never take on another national team," Terzic said in an interview with BO Sport in October. Soon after, European media reported that Terzic had agreed to a contract with the Serbian Volleyball Federation until 2028. This has not yet been officially announced. We remind you that Terzic has already been the head coach of the Serbian national team for 20 years (2002-2022). He led the team to silver (2016) and bronze (2020) medals at Olympic tournaments, and to victories at the 2018 World Championship and European Championships (2011, 2017, 2019).
