Negotiations for attracting a setter to the elite newcomer "Dunav" Ruse have failed, volleyweek.bg understood. The Ruse team parted ways with Yoan Kairyakov, on loan from "Cherno More BASK", and the position remained vacant. There were talks with Slavi Kostadinov (23 years old), who is the son of former Balkan (Botevgrad), Spartak (Pleven) and Fikosota (Shumen) basketball player Mariyan Kostadinov, but his agent did not agree with the conditions offered to him in Bulgaria. Kostadinov plays as a setter in Russia, where his brother Aleksandar Kostadinov (20 years old) also plays. Both have played for "Lokomotiv" Novosibirsk, where Georgi Petrov is the coach of the youth teams.
The Ruse team continues its attempts to fill its squad for the new season, with a focus on players from the Baltic States.
