National setter Simeon Nikolov finished as the sole leader in aces in the NCAA regular season. In 100 games played, Moni has 94 aces, or 0.94 per game. With these serving points achieved in the regular season, Nikolov is only 6 away from the NCAA single-season record set in 2011. The Bulgarian setter finished the Big West Conference final in the USA with 4 aces. He also managed to break his ace-less streak against Hawaii, recording four consecutive points from service in the third game of the match. Thus, to become the new record holder, the silver medalist from Euro 2024 for men U20 needs to achieve 7 aces in the remaining matches of the season.
