Turkish Göztepe, led by former Levski Sofia head coach Radoslav Arsov, continues to strengthen its squad for the 2026/27 season. The latest new addition is the 27-year-old Russian middle blocker Anna Prasolova, who arrives from Tulitsa Tula. Previously, she also played for Dynamo-Akademiya-RBM U20, Sparta Nizhny Novgorod, and Yenisey Krasnoyarsk.
Before Prasolova, the Izmir club attracted two more Russian volleyball players – outside hitter Olga Vaganova from Uralochka-NTMK and setter Anna Astashina, who comes from Yenisey Krasnoyarsk, after previously going through the youth academy and first team of Dynamo Ak Bars, as well as Leningradka.
At the opposite hitter position, Göztepe also strengthened with Belarusian player Ksenia Liabiodkina, who most recently wore the jersey of Russian Tulitsa Tula, and previously played for Minchanka Minsk and RGUOR Minsk.
Among the new additions is also American opposite hitter Rebecca Latham. The player, born in 1997, arrives from South Korean champions Incheon Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders, and in her career, she has also played in Italy, Greece, Puerto Rico, and the Athletes Unlimited Pro League.
As early as late April, Göztepe secured the signature of Chinese national team player Yushan Zhuang. The outside hitter, born in 2003, arrives from Fujian Anxi Tieguanyin, and previously played for Italian clubs Omag-MT San Giovanni in Marignano and Honda Olivero San Bernardo Cuneo. Currently, Zhuang is part of the Chinese national team participating in the Final Eight of the Volleyball Nations League.
The selection shows Göztepe's serious ambitions for the new season. Bulgarian specialist Radoslav Arsov will have an international squad, including three Russian players, one Belarusian player, one Chinese national team player, and one American.
