Bulgarian talent Jasmin Velichkov will continue to wear the Vero Volley Monza jersey through the 2026/27 season. The Italian club officially announced that the outside hitter remains part of the squad after his impressive performance in the past SuperLega championship.

Born in 2007, Velichkov, who is not yet 19 years old, became one of the big surprises of the season in Italy. The Bulgarian managed to establish himself in one of the strongest leagues in the world, demonstrating maturity, character, and serious technical qualities. Under the guidance of Massimo Eccheli, the young outside hitter gradually transitioned from an alternative role to an important figure in the Monza team.
The club described Velichkov's retention as an important part of the strategy to build a squad based on young and promising players capable of combining talent, training, and ambition.
I am extremely happy that I will continue to wear the Vero Volley jersey. I appreciate the support I received from the club, the coaches, and the fans, who are always by my side and support the team with passion," Velichkov told Monza's official website.
The Bulgarian national player added that he feels significantly grown after his stay in Italy: "In Monza, I think I improved in every aspect, but there is still a lot of work to do. My goal is to continue to develop both as a person and as a volleyball player."
At the end of his address, the young outside hitter also sent a message to the team's supporters: "I can't wait to see you in the hall again, and I hope the season will be full of positive energy."
The talent's retention is not a surprise, and this was known earlier, but it has only now been made official.
